Grandover Beauty

We just love the joy that showed in this Grandover couple, Aneka and Salomon, magnificently captured by www.amirluna.com photographers. From the reverent exchange of vows to the joyful dancing down the aisle, the Grandover Resort provided a specatacular backdrop for the guests to enjoy. Family and friends all contributed their talents and Bella Wedding & Event Planning was there to coordinate them all. The Mother of the Groom contributed her expertise with cake baking and the bridesmaids painstakingly made all of the favors for the guests. Thanks to ABBA Design for the gorgeous ceremony flowers and bouquets!

A Bride’s Guide To Invitations

So, you are well into your planning stages and have happily decided on your date, time and venue.  Now what?

Time to get the word out! Here is your official guide to formal invitations.

—————————————

1.  Save-The-Date Cards, which are not required, are perfect for letting your friends and family know what date to set aside.  Save-The-Date magnets are becoming a popular option as well.

2.  Wedding Invitations; Issuing an invitation to the ceremony and a separate reception card is the most formal option, though not required.  Many wedding invitations are printed using engraving, lithography, thermography, and letterpress printing.

3.  The envelope ; List full name and address of each guest.  Address them by hand, calligraphy, or have them printed. Inner lined envelopes add a special touch.

4. Direction Card; If your ceremony or reception venue is a little difficult to find, print directions on this card.

5. The RSVP card; At least two weeks before the wedding, list a response date the guest.  Some RSVP cards ask about meal preferences.

DIY Centerpieces

Doing your own centerpieces is not as difficult as you may think! You can tie in your own personal style, while saving a few bucks.

To achieve a similar centerpiece:

1.  Choose a compote; wash and dry thoroughly, making it as clean and shiny as possible.

2.  Fill it halfway with water.

3. Place three to four flower heads in water.

4. Scatter petals right around the base of the bowl.

* Optional: Add two or three small candles in the water to up the elegance.

…and the Bride Wore Blue!

Bride Whitney and Groom Rashaun share a love of sports and have now become a ‘house divided’ – Whitney rooting for the Duke University Blue Devils and Rashaun rooting for arch-rival the North Carolina Tar Heels. So it seemed natural that she would compromise on a color in between the two school colors – cornflower blue.

We hope you enjoy the pictures!
